He creates custom dentures, setting teeth himself in our office. He uses a state-of-the-art imaging program to design custom, lifelike prosthetics that fit comfortably.
Traditionally, partials are held in place with hidden clasps that attach to neighboring teeth. They replace multiple teeth that aren't necessarily adjacent to one another, fitting with existing teeth like a puzzle piece. A denture replaces all teeth on an upper or lower arch. It is anchored with adhesive that bonds to ridges on a patient's gums. When natural ridges wear down, a denture can slip out of place. This often occurs with a lower denture.
In some cases, Dr. Blank recommends implant supports to solve this problem. He works closely with oral surgeons and periodontists in an interdisciplinary approach to implant placement.
